Evaluation process
There are 3 main steps to the overall evaluation process of a veterinary biologics service request:
Preliminary screening
Once we receive your application, we'll perform a preliminary screening of the materials in your submission.
The purpose of this screening is to make sure that all the necessary elements in your submission are present.
If we accept your submission, we'll log it in the queue for evaluation and will issue an invoice for the service fees.

If we cannot accept your submission, we'll tell you why via email.
Evaluation
If an evaluator identifies any deficiencies during the evaluation, we'll either:
- place your submission on hold until you provide the requested information or acceptable justification
- return your submission
We may ask for more information through a portal task in My CFIA.
