A rendering establishment operating under a valid Health of Animals Act permit is exempt from the licensing requirement under Section 18(2) of the Feeds Regulations, 2024. The requirements of Section 18(1) continue to apply.

A rendering establishment doesn't need a licence to export or move feed between provinces, but it does need one to conduct prescribed activities involving imported, unregistered feed intended for sale.
