Carnation tortrix, Cacoecimorpha pronubana Hubner

Cacoecimorpha pronubana Hubner, carnation tortrix, is native to northern Africa. This plant-eating insect has been found on more than 160 plant species, including strawberries, grapevines, pears, stone fruits, and roses. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has confirmed the pest is present in the Fraser Valley, British Columbia.
