Products regulated under the Fertilizers Act but exempt from registration

The 3 year regulatory transition period (October 26, 2020 to October 26, 2023) has ended. Regulated parties, including all manufacturers, importers, distributors and sellers of fertilizers and supplements must adhere to the amended Fertilizers Regulations.

There is an exception for downstream producers, who have until October 26, 2025 to transition. Learn more about the implementation of the amended Fertilizers Regulations.

Products that are exempt from registration but are regulated must still meet all the prescribed safety and labelling requirements and standards.
