Lebanon - Export requirements for meat and poultry products
Production controls and inspection requirements
- The export certificate is valid for 15 days which means that the consignment must leave Canada within 15 days after the date of certification. If the consignment is not exported within 15 days, the exporter will have to submit a new application for export certification (Export Application Verification Form – Annex H (CFIA/ACIA 5344)). The expired certificate will be voided and a new certificate issued, if the product is in conformity with importing country requirements.
- The competent Lebanese authorities insist on having the certificates of inspection accompany the meat products exported to Lebanon for presentation to the responsible officers at the border. In the case of failure to follow this procedure, the products will be refused entry into the country.
- Certificate of Inspection Covering Meat Products (CFIA/ACIA 1454)
- Annex A – Veterinary certificate for meat products derived from cattle
