CFIA cancels the Safe Food for Canadians licence of 9105-8016 Quebec Inc.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) cancelled the Safe Food for Canadians (SFC) licence #9K8GT63J of 9105-8016 Quebec Inc., in Montreal, Quebec, effective April 9, 2025.

With this cancellation, the licence holder may not conduct any activity for which SFC licence #9K8GT63J was issued.

The CFIA cancelled the licence because the operator continued to conduct an activity that is identified in their licence while the licence was suspended, under section 39 (b), of the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR).

Following the continuation of activities covered by the license despite its suspension, 9105‑8016 Québec Inc.was notified on March 3, 2025, of the grounds being considered for licence cancellation and provided an opportunity to be heard on March 26, 2025.

Prior to the cancellation, the CFIA suspended the SFC licence #9K8GT63J of 9105-8016 Quebec Inc. for failing to implement preventive controls in compliance with Part 4 of the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR) with respect to sanitation, biosecurity and biocontainment and product formulation, specifications and processing.

The suspension occurred on December 19, 2024.

There is no food recall associated with this cancellation.
