Singapore - Export requirements for processed egg

Eligible/ineligible product

Eligible

  • All processed egg products.

Pre-export approval by competent authority of the importing country

Establishments

  • Pre-approval of federally licensed or registered Canadian processed egg facilities is required, prior to exporting product to Singapore.
  • Establishments must be listed on the Accredited Overseas Meat and Egg Processing Establishment database facilitated by the Singapore Food Agency (SFA).
  • Establishments seeking addition to, modification of or deletion from the SFA database must contact their CFIA regional office and provide the applicable information such as:
    • establishment licence or registration number;
    • name and address of the physical location of facility, including postal code; and,
    • any changes to establishment information if applicable.

Labelling, packing and marking requirements

  • Exporters are responsible for meeting all importing country requirements concerning product labelling, packing and marking.

Documentation requirements

Certificate

  • Certificate of Inspection for Processed Egg (CFIA/ACIA 2684)

    The following statements and information must be written in the remarks section:

    1. Products have been subjected to heat treatment and are free of pathogenic micro-organisms, especially Salmonella.
    2. Additives and/or colouring matters injurious to health have not been added.
    3. The products have been handled and packed in a hygienic manner and are free from contaminants.
    4. The eggs used for processing have been cleaned and sanitized with a sanitizer containing 50 to 200 ppm of available chlorine, or an approved sanitizer through an automated egg washer.
  • Veterinary certificate for animal products and by-products (HA 2341)

    The following statements and information must be written in the remarks section:

    1. Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) and H5 and H7 low pathogenicity avian influenza (LPAI) are notifiable diseases in the country.

      And

    2. The country has been free from HPAI for the past three (3) months prior to export.

      And

    3. The country has been free from LPAI of the H5 and H7 subtypes for the past three (3) months prior to export.

      Or

    1. The products have been subjected to heat treatment that is sufficient for inactivation of Avian Influenza virus in accordance with World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH; founded as Office International des Épizooties (OIE)) guidelines.
