Establishments
- Establishments must be in compliance with Canadian regulations and be licensed under the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR) for the required activity and appear on the list of Canadian fish and seafood establishments approved for export. Contact your local Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) office if your establishment is not on this list
- Establishments must also appear on the appropriate establishment list administered by the European Union's Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (DG-SANTE). See European Union for more information
Production controls and inspection requirements
For frozen whole uneviscerated finfish, crustaceans and molluscs (still in shell), exporters are advised to contact their local CFIA Office in advance to determine eligibility for export
Documentation requirements
Certificate
- For frozen fish products (finfish, mollusc, crustaceans)
Veterinary certificate for fish and fishery products exported into Ukraine (CFIA/ACIA 5349)
- For live crustaceans and their non-frozen products
Veterinary certificate for live crustaceans and their non-frozen products exported into Ukraine (AQAH-1076)
The above certificates are joint certificates containing both food safety/public health and Aquatic animal health attestations.
