Modify an export service request
Modifications can be made to a submitted export application if the certificate has not yet been signed by the CFIA. You can only modify information that would not affect the our decision to endorse the export certificate. This information includes:
- date of export
- consignee name and address (you cannot modify the destination country)
- transportation information
To make a modification to your export application:
- On your My CFIA dashboard, select the "Case ID" to open the "Service Request Case"
- Select "Modify" located under "Application Summary"
- Enter the information you want to amend
- Select "Submit"
- Scroll down and select "Return to Dashboard"
Amend an export certificate
We will review amendment requests for export certificates in "Draft" status.
Once your certificate status has changed from "Pending" to "Draft," you may request an amendment to the prepared export certificate. If your amendment falls within program policy guidelines, changes to the certificate will be made.
If we cannot approve your request, your request will be denied. The original service request and existing certificate will remain valid.
Print an export certificate
- Select the "Issued Export Certificates" tab from your My CFIA dashboard
- Select the appropriate "Certificate #"
- Select "View Documents" to open the certificate
- You can now download the certificate by selecting "Print"
An original certificate can only be printed once. Make sure that your printer is set up correctly and set to print in color.
If your original certificate was not printed properly due to improper settings or technical issues, we can reset the certificate back to original status. Otherwise, the next printed certificate will have a "Certified Copy" watermark. Contact your local CFIA office for support.
Replace an export certificate
- Open the "Issued Export Certificates" tab from your My CFIA dashboard
- Select the certificate
- Select "Request a Replacement"
- Populate the required fields, add additional comments and upload documents (if applicable)
- Select "Submit Request"
A replacement certificate may be requested for various reasons. For guidance on the conditions for requesting replacement certificates, see:
