Honey

1. Honey is the food that meets the standard set out in subsection 15.1.16(1) of Volume 15 of the Food Compositional Standards Document and

  1. if it is derived mainly from the nectar of blossoms, meets the standard set out in subsections 15.1.16(2) and (3) of Volume 15 of the Food Compositional Standards Document; or
  2. if it is derived from secretions of living plants or from secretions on living plants, meets the standard set out in subsection 15.1.16(4) of Volume 15 of the Food Compositional Standards Document.
