2021 BSL4ZNet International Conference
Preparing and responding to new post-pandemic challenges
September 23 to October 14, 2021
The Biosafety Level 4 Zoonotic Laboratory Network (BSL4ZNet) organized a series of virtual sessions from September 23 to October 14, 2021. The sessions featured keynote speakers, expert panelists and a moderated dialogue with questions and answers.
BSL4ZNet is an international network of members from 5 countries, and members have agreed that the working language of the network is English. As a result, the 2021 International Conference was delivered in English.
In accordance with the Government of Canada's Policy on Official Languages, all supporting communications and services provided by the CFIA for the public will be available in both official languages.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, global collaborations have been critical in driving science forward. As part of the COVID-19 rapid collaborative response established by the BSL4ZNet, a COVID-19 International Symposium was held in August and September 2020.
The time has come to leverage this experience and collaboration to navigate the challenges of a post-pandemic era. In line with this, the overarching theme for the 2021 BSL4ZNet International Conference was "Preparing and responding to new post-pandemic challenges". The conference took place virtually from September 23 to October 14, 2021.
Registration for the 2021 BSL4ZNet International Conference is now closed.
The 2021 BSL4ZNet International Conference was organized into 4 thematic sessions focused on the post-pandemic era and driving science forward.
