General

Botanical Features

Agricultural Features

Medium yielding variety; resistant to hollow hart; good storability; medium dormancy period; medium to high specific gravity.

Good tolerance to Metribuzin herbicide when used at label rates. During trials, Saginaw Gold has consistently produce very good colour potato chips and french fries after 3-5 months storage at 10-11 °C.

Reaction to Diseases

Resistant: silver scurf.
Good resistance: PVY, PVX, leafroll.
Susceptible: common scab.
