GENERAL

BOTANICAL FEATURES

AGRICULTURAL FEATURES

High yielding variety; tubers set early; high number of tubers per plant; well adapted to Newfoundland growing conditions; good storability, medium dormancy period; high specific gravity.

REMARK: favour a 35 to 40 cm (12 to 14 in) spacing in order to avoid too small tubers production.

REACTION TO DISEASES

Resistant: potato wart (races 1, 2, 8), golden nematode (Globodera rostochiensis Ro1).
Moderately resistant: tuber late blight.
Susceptible: common scab.

NOTE: this variety does not display typical field or tuber symptoms of bacterial ring rot.
