- Origin & Breeding: bred by J.P. & P.R. Dijkhuis from (Oldenburger 51-640 x G3014) in Warfhuizen (Netherlands). Released in 1972.

Botanical Features
- Plants: medium to tall, semi-erect growth; medium thick stems with no pigmentation; wavy single wings; stem nodes slightly swollen with no pigmentation.
- Leaves: olive green, closed to medium silhouette, fairly large, rather dropping, smooth and glossy; no pigmentation on mid-rib.
Terminal leaflets: ovate, broad; cuspidate tip; asymmetrical and cordate base; wavy margins.
Primary leaflets: five pairs, ovate, broad, acuminate tip, cordate to lobed base, moderately asymmetrical. - Flowers: moderately numerous; buds persistent and not pigmented; medium sized white corolla, moderately prominent star; yellow-orange anthers; no pigmentation on peduncule.
- Tubers: oval; buff colored smooth skin; very shallow eyes, predominantly apical; light yellow flesh.
- Sprouts: ovoid; sprout base very slightly pubescent with a light to medium red-violet pigmentation; sprout tip is closed without pubescence nor pigmentation.
Agricultural Features
Very high yielding variety that produce large tubers of attractive appearance. Early tuber set. Good resistance to drought, bruising and growth cracks. Medium dry matter content. Rather long dormancy period.
Very good foliage development although a little slow at the beginning; grows well with an average nitrate fertilization. Tuber spacing should be fairly close because this variety produce large tubers.
- Utilization: firm cooked texture, moderate fry colour. Good for cooking and frying.
- Chief Market: fresh market, processing, exportation.
Reaction to Diseases
Immune: potato wart.
Good resistance: phoma rot.
Moderately resistant: PVX, PVYn, PVYntn, tuber late blight, common scab.
Moderately susceptible: leafroll, foliar late blight, silver scurf, blackleg and soft rot (Erwinia).
Very susceptible: powdery scab, potato cyst nematodes.
