- Origin & Breeding: bred at the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Research Station from the cross (F4724 x F5569) in Fredericton, New Brunswick and selected by the AAC Experimental Farm in Scott, Saskatchewan.

Botanical Features
- Plants: medium size; spreading; stems strongly pigmented at the base; wings prominent, waved; nodes slightly swollen.
- Leaves: olive green, closed, slightly pubescent.
Terminal leaflets: apex acute; base lobed and slightly asymmetrical.
Primary leaflets: four pairs; elliptical; base lobed and asymmetrical.
Secondary leaflets: one set at each internodes. - Flowers: very pale purple corolla with white tips; fades rapidly to near white; bright yellow anthers.
- Tubers: oval; buff skin; shallow eyes; creamy white flesh.
- Sprouts: ovoid; base mainly green with purple area around lateral shoots; tip slightly pigmented, closed habit.
Agricultural Features
Medium yielding variety; wide adaptability as first early tablestock. Tubers size early to very early across the Canadian Prairies; vines maturity is midseason to late; smooth conformation if harvested early but if left to plant maturity, tubers frequently become oversized and rough with growth cracks or hollow heart. Weak to medium storability; low to medium specific gravity.
Remark: should be used as an early variety; top killing is recommended to prevent oversized tubers.
- Utilization: no after cooking discolouration; fair to good for boiling.
