Origin & Breeding History: 'Operino' (breeder's reference 72-187 RZ) originated from a controlled cross conducted between two proprietary lines in March 2014 in De Lier, Netherlands. 'Operino' was selected in October 2014 for its fruit shape, orange fruit colour, and taste.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Operino' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number TMT3132, purchased from the Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands. The trial was conducted by the Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands from 2017 to 2018.
