FLOWER: medium diameter of calyx, medium to long stamens
PETAL: medium length and width, small length to width ratio

INFRUCTESCENCE: clustering of fruits present
FRUIT: short, small, medium length to diameter ratio, broadest part at middle, circular to scalloped in transverse section, proximal end flattened to slightly rounded, neck absent, shallow depression with no constriction at stalk end, many short to medium length radial grooves at stalk end, collar absent, absent or weakly developed abscission layer between floral disk and fruit, flattened distal end, shallow depression of medium diameter at distal end, absent to complete areola, smooth areola, small stylar scar, none to partial persistence of style, absent and occasionally present naval opening, absent or weak radial grooves at distal end

Origin & Breeding History: 'ARCCIT9' (experimental designation FA A34) originated from a planned breeding program carried out at the Agricultural Research Council, Addo Research Station, Eastern Cape, South Africa. 'ARCCIT9' originated from the irradiation of buds of 'NADORCOTT' conducted in 1999. In 2005, 'ARCCIT9' was selected based on the amount of viable pollen and seed content.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'ARCCIT9' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, reference number ZA 20135430, purchased from the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development in Stellenbosch, W. Cape, South Africa. The trials were grown at the Addo Research Station, Eastern Cape, South Africa and tested in 2012 and 2013.
