Origin & Breeding History: 'Meizorland' was discovered as a naturally occurring whole plant mutation of Rose variety 'Meiswetdom' in West Grove, Pennysylvania, USA on August 16, 2011. It was bred and developed by the breeder, Conception Fonseca, and employee of the Conard-Pyle Company. 'Meizorland' was selected based on its vigorous plant growth, continuous and abundant flowering, attractive foliage colour and glossiness, garden appeal and disease resistance to black spot, powdery mildew and rust. On August 16, 2011, 'Meizorland' was first vegetatively propagated by cuttings in West Grove, Pennysylvania, USA.

Tests & Trials: The comparative trial for 'Meizorland' was conducted in an outdoor irrigated container trial during the summer of 2016 at BioFlora Inc. in St. Thomas, Ontario. The trial included a total of 5 plants of the candidate variety and 8 plants of the reference variety. All plants were grown as bare-rooted plants and transplanted into 11.4 litre containers on April 26, 2016. Observations and measurements were taken from 10 plants, or parts of plants, of each variety on June 22, 2016. All colour determinations were made using the 2007 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
