Summary: The emergence of the current season's cane occurs late in the season for 'DrisRaspTwelve' while it occurs early to mid-season for 'Radiance'. The bloom on the current season's cane of 'DrisRaspTwelve' is weak whereas it is medium to strong on the current season's canes of 'Driscoll Pacifica'.

Description:

PLANT: semi-upright growth habit, many current season's canes, bears fruit on previous season's cane in summer and on current season's cane in autumn, mid-season vegetative bud burst

VERY YOUNG SHOOT: very weak to weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration of apex during rapid growth, late emergence

FRUITING LATERAL: semi-erect attitude, long
CURRENT SEASON`S CANE: long, weak bloom, strong intensity of anthocyanin colouration, short to medium internode length, medium sized vegetative bud
DORMANT CANE: long, purplish brown

Origin & Breeding History: 'DrisRaspTwelve' originated from a controlled cross conducted between the two proprietary varieties, 'RB608.1' (female parent) and 'RD150.1' (male parent), in Santa Cruz County, California, United States, in April 2010. A single seedling of 'DrisRaspTwelve' was selected in August 2011 based on fruit size, flavour and shelf life. 'DrisRaspTwelve' was initially asexually propagated by tissue culture with further successive propagation via tissue culture and root cuttings at a nursery in Santa Cruz county.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'DrisRaspTwelve' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 20181444, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trial was conducted by the Bundessortenamt in Hannover, Germany in 2020 and 2021.
