Origin & Breeding History: 'EURZ0001' was developed by the breeder, Ronald Snijder, an employee of Syngenta Seeds B.V., in Enkhuizen, Netherlands. It originated from an induced mutation of the variety 'SYEP22432' (Titan). One partly mutated plant was discovered during flowering between November and December of 2011. This plant was selected for its bract colour and grown under long day conditions to develop vegetative growth. Shoot tip cuttings were taken from the mutated portion of the plant for propagation purposes, and a flowering trial was conducted in the fall of 2012 in Enkhuizen. 'EURZ0001' was first propagated asexually by vegetative cutting in the fall of 2012, in Enkhuizen, Netherlands.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'EURZ0001' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 2015/0271, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trial was conducted at the University of Aarhus in Aarslev, Denmark, in 2016. The colour determinations were made using the 2001 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
