Asexual reproduction of 'Petlavve' began in August 2000 in Enkhuizen, the Netherlands.

Tests & Trials: The tests and trials for 'Petlavve' were conducted in a poly-house during the spring of 2005 in St. Thomas, Ontario. The trial included a total of 15 plants of each variety.
