Origin & Breeding History: 'DH129B036' originated from a cross between a selection from the Australian Temperate Crops collection, Accession 94461, designated AU101-12 and the variety 'AAC A110'. The cross was conducted in June 2013 and each resulting F1 plant used for the development of a family of double haploid lines. In 2015, seed from the double haploid lines were grown in rows at Agrisoma's breeding nursery in Swift Current, Saskatchewan where one line, designated 'DH129B036', was selected based on agronomic properties, seed quality, pod canopy and pod maturity.

Tests & Trials: The comparative trials for 'DH129B036' were grown during the summers of 2018 and 2019 at a Mustard (B.carinata) breeding nursery, in Outlook, Saskatchewan. Plots were arranged in a RCB design with 4 replicates per variety each year. Each 6.0 by 1.5 metre plot had a seeding density of 100 seeds per metre squared. Each plot consisted of 5 rows with 0.31 metre spacing between rows. The measured characteristics were based on a minimum of 30 measurements per variety except cotyledon width in 2019, which was based on a minimum of 21 measurements. Mean differences were significant at the 5% probability level based on a Student`s t-test.
