From the resulting progeny, 'Aurora' was selected as a single plant in March 2012, based on plant shape, leaf pattern and overall appearance. 'Aurora' was first asexually propagated by leaf cuttings in March 2012 in Sappemeer, the Netherlands.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Aurora' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 2015/0715, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office, in Angers, France. The trial was conducted by the Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands in 2016. The colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
