Variety used for comparison: 'Galibier'

Summary: The intensity of green colour of the upper side of the leaf blade of 'Winmar' is medium to dark, but lighter than the intensity of the green colour of the leaf of 'Galibier' which is also medium to dark. The length to diameter ratio of the fruit is large to very large for 'Winmar' whereas the length to diameter ratio is large for 'Galibier'. The length of the neck of the fruit is short to medium for 'Winmar' whereas the neck of the fruit is short for 'Galibier'. The degree of creasing of the fruit is medium to strong for 'Winmar' whereas the degree of creasing is weak to medium for 'Galibier'.

Origin & Breeding History: 'Winmar' (breeder designation 24-226 RZ) is a long cucumber variety suitable for heated cultivation. It originated from a cross made in the autumn of 2011, in the Netherlands. The resulting hybrid, 'Winmar', was selected in 2011 for its plant characteristics, stable fruit quality during the growing season, yield and resistance to powdery mildew.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Winmar' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number KMK1180, purchased from Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands. The trial was conducted by Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands from 2016 to 2017.
