From this cross, seedlings were selected based on flower colour. Selected seedlings were evaluated in greenhouse trials from March to May in 2015 and 2016 and were further selected based on flower colour and time of flowering. A single seedling was selected for commercialization and named 'KLECA16017' in January 2016.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'KLECA16017' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 2017/1693, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trials were conducted by the Bundessortenamt in Hannover, Germany in 2018. The colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
