Summary: The plants of 'Bonmad 11276' are shorter than the plants of 'Bonmadmerlo'. The plant density of 'Bonmad 11276' is medium to dense whereas the density is sparse to medium for 'Bonmadmerlo'. The stem of 'Bonmad 11276' has no anthocyanin colouration whereas the stem of 'Bonmadmerlo' has anthocyanin colouration. The flower head of 'Bonmad 11276' has fewer ray florets than the flower head of 'Bonmadmerlo'. The main colour of the inner side of the ray floret of 'Bonmad 11276' is violet whereas the ray floret of 'Bonmadmerlo' is dark purple red. The main colour of the outer side of the ray floret of 'Bonmad 11276' is violet whereas the ray floret of 'Bonmadmerlo' is purple. The inner side of the disc floret of 'Bonmad 11276' is light blue pink with blue pink overtones whereas the disc floret of 'Bonmadmerlo' is dark purple red.

Origin & Breeding History: 'Bonmad 11276' originated from a cross pollination conducted in October 2010 in New South Wales, Austalia as part of a controlled breeding program. The cross involved the proprietary breeding selection designated '09-60', as the female parent, and the proprietary breeding selection designated '08-109', as the male parent. 'Bonmad 11276' was initially selected in July 2011 for its crested flower form, minimal flower colour fading, and overall appearance that matches the Madeira commercial series for growth habit, early flowering, and flower size. Asexual reproduction of 'Bonmad 11276' is through the use of vegetative cuttings.

Tests & Trials: The comparative trial of 'Bonmad 11276' was conducted in a polyhouse during the spring of 2015 at BioFlora Inc. in St. Thomas, Ontario. The trial included a total of 20 plants each of the candidate and reference variety. All plants were grown from rooted cuttings and transplanted into 15 cm pots on May 11, 2015. The observations and measurements were taken from 10 plants or parts of plants of each variety on June 17, 2015. All colour determinations were made using the 2007 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
