CFIA cancels the Safe Food for Canadians licence of The LittleOak Nutrition Company (Canada) Ltd. (Licence # 4HDMJK99)

August 21, 2026, Ottawa

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) cancelled the Safe Food for Canadians (SFC) licence # 4HDMJK99 of The LittleOak Nutrition Company (Canada), based in New Zealand, effective August 10, 2026.

With this cancellation, the licence holder may not conduct any activity for which SFC licence # 4HDMJK99 was issued.

The CFIA cancelled the licence because the licence holder provided false and misleading information in its Safe Food for Canadians licence renewal application, contravening section 15 of the Safe Food for Canadians Act. The non-compliance relates to:

  • Providing a false Canadian address in their application for licence renewal

Following this contravention of the Safe Food for Canadians Act, the CFIA notified The LittleOak Nutrition Company (Canada) Ltd. on July 24, 2026, of the grounds being considered for licence cancellation. The licence holder was provided with an opportunity to be heard by July 31, 2026. However, no response was received by the CFIA and therefore CFIA moved forward with the licence cancellation.

There is no food recall associated with this cancellation.

Licence holders are responsible for ensuring they comply with Canada's food laws. The CFIA is committed to enforcing those laws.
