August 5, 2026, Ottawa

Effective July 31, 2026, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) cancelled the Safe Food for Canadians (SFC) licences # 7V7LVYWL and # 8N6CKY86 of 9523-1023 Québec Inc., located in Contrecœur, Quebec.

With this cancellation, the licence holder may not conduct any activity for which SFC licences # 7V7LVYWL and # 8N6CKY86 were issued.

On March 9, 2026, the CFIA suspended the licences because the licence holder had failed to take corrective actions to comply with Canadian requirements for importing food products:

  1. Give assistance to the inspector, and
  2. Provide the requested documents, information and access to data.

A licence may be revoked if its holder fails to take corrective action within ninety (90) days following a suspension under paragraph 39(a) of the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR).

At the end of this period, the CFIA notified 9523-1023 Québec Inc. of the cancellation of its licences.

There is no recall associated with this cancellation.

Licence holders are responsible for ensuring they comply with Canada's food laws. The CFIA is committed to enforcing those laws.
