All restrictions on import of porcine origin commodities from the United States due to pseudorabies (Aujesky's disease) have been lifted. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) will now resume issuing certification for:
- uncooked edible pork snouts
- uncooked edible porcine blood
- raw inedible porcine by-products
- untreated inedible porcine blood products
- raw porcine manure
Trade in other porcine commodities such as edible pork meat and raw pet food containing pork products can continue as usual.
For more information on this disease see the Pseudorabies fact sheet.
