Pre-export approvals by competent authority of importing country
Establishments
Establishments must be in compliance with Canadian regulations and be licensed under the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR) for the required activity and appear on the list of Canadian fish and seafood establishments approved for export. Contact your local Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) office if your establishment is not on this list
They must also appear on the appropriate establishment list administered by the European Union's Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (DG-SANTE). See European Union for more information
Product specifications
Montenegro has adopted the requirements of the European Union. Refer to European Union (EU) – Export requirements for fish and seafood for more information.
The exporter must be aware of the standards and requirements of the importing country. An export control plan must be in place to demonstrate that your products meet the requirements of the importing country. Customs authorities may conduct sampling and testing activities on exported products to verify compliance to importing country requirements.

Health Certificate for the Exportation of Fishery Products Intended for Human Consumption from Canada to Montenegro (CFIA/ACIA FA1075)
This certificate is a joint certificate containing both Food Safety/Public Health and Aquatic Animal Health attestations. Consult your CFIA inspector for any further instructions at the time of the certificate request submission.
