For feed manufacturers
Thoroughly mix into the feed at the following rate to provide 1050 mg/kg (0.105%) of piperazine in the complete feed:
- 400 g (0.4 kg) of Piperazine 52 Premix with 200 kg of feed; OR
- 2 kg of Piperazine 52 Premix with 1000 kg of feed
Warning
- No withdrawal period is required for chickens or chicken eggs when treated at 1050 mg/kg (0.105%) of piperazine in the complete feed.
- Keep out of reach of children (Required on premix and supplement labels only).
Caution
- Withhold feed overnight prior to medication.
- Provide ample hopper space.
- To aid in preventing re-infestation clean out the pens thoroughly shortly after medication.
- Good sanitation is important in controlling worm infestation.
Accepted Compatibilities
Piperazine dihydrochloride is compatible with the following drug/drug combinations. In cases where there are differences in withdrawal time for the compatible medicating ingredients, the longer withdrawal time is the one that must be used, and is the only one that is to appear on the label of the finished feed.
