Aquatic animal export: certification requirements for the United Kingdom

To request an export certificate outlined below or if you require any other information on aquatic animal health export certification, please contact your local Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) Office.

The following certificates are available

  • Model Health Certificate for the Import into Great Britain, Channel Islands and Isle of Man of Aquaculture Animals for Farming, Relaying, Put and Take Fisheries and Open Ornamental Facilities GBHC670 v1.0 Aug-23 (AQAH-1101)
    • The commodities for AQAH-1101 require an inspection prior to export
      Please contact your local CFIA Office in advance of export to request and schedule an inspection
  • Model Health Certificate for the Import into Great Britain, Channel Islands and Isle of Man of Ornamental Aquatic Animals Intended for Closed Ornamental Facilities GBHC671 v1.0 Aug-23 (AQAH-1102)
    • The commodities for AQAH-1102 require an inspection prior to export
      Please contact your local CFIA office in advance of export to request and schedule an inspection
  • Official certificate for the placing on the market of fishery products (FP) GBHC401 v1.1 Aug-23 (CFIA/ACIA FA1033)
    • For fishery products intended for human consumption
    • The CFIA/ACIA FA1033 is a Joint Certificate containing both Food Safety/Public Health and Aquatic Animal Health attestations

    • Please consult your CFIA inspector for further instructions at the time of the certificate request submission
  • Health certificate for live bivalve molluscs, echinoderms, tunicates and marine gastropods (LBM) GBHC400 v1.1 Aug-23 (CFIA/ACIA FA1034)
    • For live bivalve molluscs, echinoderms, tunicates and marine gastropods intended for human consumption
    • The CFIA/ACIA FA1034 is a Joint Certificate containing both Food Safety/Public Health and Aquatic Animal Health attestations
