The Public Health Agency of Canada's Public Health Notice has been updated to reflect that the outbreak appears to be over and the outbreak investigation has been closed.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has completed its food safety investigation and is conducting effectiveness checks to verify that unsafe food has been removed from store shelves, as part of the final step of the recall process.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is working with the Public Health Agency of Canada and other federal and provincial public health partners to investigate an outbreak of Escherichia coli, called E. coli O121.

The CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. If other high-risk products are recalled, the CFIA will notify the public through updated Food Recall Warnings.
