Effective February 15, 2019, the operating licence of Establishment 017, Flintshire Farms Inc., was reinstated and the company was allowed to resume operations under ongoing inspection by the CFIA.

February 12, 2019, Ottawa: The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has suspended the operating licence of Establishment 017, Flintshire Farms Inc., effective February 8, 2019. Establishment 017 is a registered slaughter establishment located in Flinton, Ontario.

The licence to operate was suspended because the operator failed to meet regulatory requirements repeatedly under the previous Meat Inspection Regulations, 1990 and most recently under the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations.

There is no recall associated with this suspension.

The operator will not be able to resume activities until the CFIA determines that the required corrective measures have been taken.
