CFIA Suspends the Operating Licence of 732840 Ontario Limited

Effective June 23, 2017, the operating licence of 732840 Ontario Limited, was reinstated and the company was allowed to resume operations under ongoing inspection by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).

June 14, 2017, Ottawa: The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has suspended the operating licence of 732840 Ontario Limited, a meat processing establishment located in Toronto, Ontario, effective June 7, 2017. At this location, 732840 Ontario Limited does business under the names Patty Palace, Palace Foods, Montego Bakers, and Palace Gourmet Foods.

The licence to operate was suspended because the operator failed to meet the regulatory requirements related to ventilation, as required by the Meat Inspection Regulations, 1990.

There is no recall associated with this suspension.

The operator will not be able to resume activities related to the processing of meat products until the CFIA determines that the required corrective measures have been taken.
