Starting on June 17, 2020, the following chapters of the Terrestrial Animal Products and By-products Import Policy Framework will be implemented and become active:

- 4 General policy statement
- 5 Scope of commodities covered by this policy
- 6 Diseases of concern to Canada's animal resource base
- 7 General roles and responsibilities
- 10.1 Manure
- 10.6 Edible meat products
- 10.7 Raw inedible products
- 10.8 Pet food
- 10.10 Laboratory and research samples
- 10.11 Bee products
- 10.13 Highly processed products
- 10.14 Medicinal and natural health products
- 11 Other government departments and agencies
- 12 Other CFIA programs
- 14 Other links
- 15.1 Annex 1: Acceptable treatments of manure
- 15.6 Annex 6: Acceptable treatments of highly processed products
The implementation of these chapters will not have an impact on existing import conditions or international trade.
The following policies will simultaneously be removed from the CFIA website as they will be replaced by the new chapters above:
- Animal Products/By-Products to be used as Medicinal or Natural Health Products
- Bee Products
- Fertilizers and Manure
- Highly Processed Products
- Import Policy for Pet Food and Treats Containing Animal Products and By-Products
