Whereas:

I, The Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, believe that the disease, African swine fever, can be prevented from spreading into Canada in the areas in Canada described in the schedule attached hereto;

Therefore, I hereby declare, pursuant to subsection 27.1(2) of the Health of Animals ActFootnote 1, that the areas described in the Schedule attached hereto are the Secondary Control Zones, effective March 29, 2019, in which I believe that African swine fever may be introduced.
