Aquatic animal export: certification requirements for Russia

Exporters are advised that in order to be eligible for certification to Russia they must contact their local Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) Office in advance of export to determine the requirements and accommodate the scheduling of inspections (if required). If you require any other information on export certification, please contact your local CFIA Office.

The following certificates are available

  • Veterinary Certificate for export to the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union of live fish, invertebrates and other poikilothermic aquatic animals, their fertilized eggs, sperm and larvae intended for productive cultivation, breeding or other uses (AQAH-1065)
    • Currently, this certificate (AQAH-1065) only applies to export of live aquatic animals, their gametes or fertilized eggs for aquaculture, ornamental or research purposes
    • Sampling/testing may be required
  • Sanitary Certificate for Fish, Seafood and Products of their Processing Intended for Human Consumption, Exported from Canada into the Russian Federation (CFIA/ACIA 5561)
    • The CFIA/ACIA 5561 is a Joint Certificate containing both Food Safety/Public Health and Aquatic Animal Health attestations
