Outbreaks of Salmonella infections linked to poultry, including frozen raw breaded chicken products
Since July 2017, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has posted several food recall warnings linked to frozen raw breaded chicken products due to Salmonella. These products include chicken nuggets, chicken strips, chicken burgers, popcorn chicken and chicken fries.
Future food recall warnings associated with these products will be listed on this page (in addition to the food recall page) for ease of reference and to remind Canadians of the ongoing risk associated with the handling and preparation of raw poultry, including frozen raw breaded chicken products.
