July 14, 2021, Ottawa
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has cancelled the Safe Food for Canadians (SFC) licence #4RWD998W of Unistraw Holdings Pte, Ltd., pertaining to importing food, effective June 21, 2021. Unistraw Holdings Pte, Ltd.'s fixed place of business is located in Singapore.
With this cancellation, the licence holder may not conduct any activity for which SFC licence #4RWD998W was issued.
Prior to this cancellation, the CFIA suspended the licence of Unistraw Holdings Pte, Ltd. because the licence holder failed to comply with section 12 of the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR) regarding the fixed place of business of a non-resident importer.
Unistraw Holdings Pte, Ltd. was notified on May 28, 2021 of the grounds being considered for licence cancellation and provided with an opportunity to be heard regarding the cancellation.
