Effective March 22, 2016, the registration of Establishment M-39, S & D Clouston Farms was reinstated and the company was allowed to resume operations under ongoing inspection by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).
December 8, 2015, Ottawa: The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has suspended the registration of Establishment M-39, S & D Clouston Farms, in St. Andrews, Manitoba, effective December 5, 2015.
The CFIA has determined that adequate sanitation requirements are not being reliably implemented in the facility on a consistent basis, as required by the Egg Regulations. The company has failed to correct deficiencies previously identified through CFIA inspections.
S & D Clouston Farms will not be able to resume operations until it has fully implemented the necessary corrective actions and the CFIA is confident in the facility's capacity to effectively manage food safety risks.
Licences and registrations of federally registered establishments or companies can be suspended or cancelled for failure to comply with relevant CFIA Acts and Regulations. The CFIA publishes a list of suspensions and cancellations on its web site.
