Effective November 2, 2018, the operating licence of Establishment 734, Vantage Foods Inc., was reinstated and the company was allowed to resume operations under ongoing inspection by the CFIA.

September 19, 2018, Ottawa: The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has suspended the operating licence of Establishment 734, Vantage Foods Inc., effective September 18, 2018. Establishment 734 is a registered meat processing establishment located in Belleville, Ontario.

The licence to operate was suspended because the operator failed to meet regulatory requirements as required by the Meat Inspection Regulations, 1990.

There is no recall associated with this suspension.

The operator will not be able to resume activities until the CFIA determines that the required corrective measures have been taken.
