Effective February 11, 2014, Establishment 588, Nutri-Caille Ltée, was allowed to resume operations under ongoing inspection by the CFIA.

December 18, 2013 (Ottawa) – The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) suspended the operating licence of Establishment 588, Nutri-Caille Ltée, effective December 16, 2013. Nutri-Caille Ltée is a poultry processing facility located in Ste-Hélène de Bagot, Québec.

The company's operating licence was suspended for failing to pay recurring meat product inspection fees owed to the CFIA in violation of paragraph 29.2(3) of the Meat Inspection Regulations.

There are no food safety issues associated with this licence suspension.

The operating licence will not be reinstated until the company has paid the amount due.

Licences and registrations of federally registered establishments or companies can be suspended or cancelled for failing to comply with relevant CFIA Acts and Regulations.
