September 2, 2016, Ottawa: The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has revoked the fish processing registration of Establishment 4412, Breviro Caviar Inc., located in Pennfield, New Brunswick, effective August 29, 2016.

The company has failed to provide a corrective action plan or correct deficiencies previously identified through CFIA inspections resulting in non-compliance with the Fish Inspection Regulations.

The company has advised the CFIA that it is no longer in business.

There is no recall associated with this revocation.

A company may not process fish for interprovincial or international export without a certificate of registration. 

A request to reinstate a registration must be made, in writing, within 30 days. 

To be approved, the operator must implement the required corrective actions within 60 days, following the day on which the certificate of registration was revoked.

Licences and registrations of federally registered establishments or companies can be suspended, cancelled or revoked for failure to comply with relevant CFIA Acts and Regulations. The CFIA publishes a list of suspensions, cancellations and revocations on its web site.
