Additional information

An Administrative Monetary Penalty (AMP) can be either a notice of violation with a warning, or a notice of violation with a penalty.

If an individual or a company receives a Notice of Violation, they may request a review of the facts. The review is made by the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and/or the Canada Agricultural Review Tribunal. The review can also go the Minister and then to the Review Tribunal. Annual reports are available on the Canada Agricultural Review Tribunal website.
