The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is strengthening its approach to inspection.

The integrated model expands the Improved Food Inspection Model from food safety to human, and animal and plant health.

How to get involved

You are encouraged to provide comments and suggestions on the draft Integrated Agency Inspection Model by August 29, 2014.

Interested parties may provide comments by email to CFIA-Modernisation-ACIA@inspection.gc.ca. Correspondence should clearly indicate "draft integrated Agency Inspection model" in the subject line.

Comments on the draft model will be considered as the CFIA continues to refine its approach to inspection.

Reporting to Canadians

A report summarizing the input received during this consultation will be made available on our website. Read the report of what we heard while consulting on the initial draft of the model during the spring of 2013.
