Research with livestock feeds
Research with livestock feeds in Canada is an activity that is regulated under the Feeds Acts and regulations unless it's:
- exempted under section 3 of the regulations
The regulatory guidance document, Chapter 5 – Research with livestock feeds, explains when research with livestock feeds requires approval in Canada.
Researchers must submit an application to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) before a research trial begins in Canada if the research with the livestock feed is not exempted from the regulations.
