Pre-export approvals by competent authority of importing country

Establishments

Establishments must be in compliance with Canadian regulations and be licensed under the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR) for the required activity and appear on the list of Canadian fish and seafood establishments approved for export. Contact your local Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) office if your establishment is not on this list.

Armenia may impose additional establishment registration requirements. Exporters are strongly encouraged to confirm the requirements with their importers prior to commencing export activities.

Product specifications

The exporter must be aware of the standards and requirements of the importing country. An export control plan must be in place to demonstrate that your products meet the requirements of the importing country. Customs authorities may conduct sampling and testing activities on exported products to verify compliance to importing country requirements.

Packaging, labelling and marking requirements

It is the exporter's responsibility to meet all labelling, packaging and marking requirements of the importing country.

Certificate

For all fish and seafood products:

Sanitary Certificate for fish, seafood and products of their processing intended for human consumption, exported from Canada to the Republic of Armenia (CFIA/ACIA FA1072)

The above certificate is a joint certificate containing both food safety/public health and aquatic animal health attestations.
