Black nightshade (Solanum nigrum)

  • found across Canada (except in the Far North) and along the coasts of the United States
  • similar to eastern black nightshade in yellow colour and wavy-edged cell surface pattern
  • larger than eastern black nightshade by ~0.5 mm
  • teardrop shape, with no cell pattern in the centre
