The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) Enforcement and Investigation Services (EIS), with the support of the Public Prosecution Service of Canada (PPSC), issues notifications of charges laid to inform the public.
This is part of our commitment to openness and transparency and encouraging compliance with the various acts and regulations. In all cases, the subject of charges is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
The notification of charges will be followed by a prosecution bulletin upon resolution of the Court process.
